Ministry: Russian gold output rises 3.8% to 81.3 tns in Jan–Apr
MOSCOW, Jul 7 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gold output rose 3.8% on the year to 81.27 tonnes in January–April, the Finance Ministry said on Tuesday quoting supplies to the refining plants.
Mined gold output rose 7.1% to 65.87 tonnes, while by-product gold output decreased 6.7% to 5.6 tonnes, while gold scrap production fell 8.9% to 9.8 tonnes.
Russia’s silver output decreased 5.5% to 286.69 tonnes in the period. Primary silver production went up 0.2% to 133.87 tonnes, while by-product silver output grew 4.3% to 108.41 tonnes, and production of silver scrap went down 32.6% to 44.41 tonnes.
